The Jersey Awards

 

The Best of the Best were in abundance at the 49th Annual Jersey Awards held on June 7th, 2017, at The Grove in Cedar Grove, NJ. Over 350 guests enjoyed an electric and elegant atmosphere with old and new friends while enjoying a great meal and receiving 278 awards. Herb Barry, Interstate Outdoor, and Terrie Carr, Beasley Media Group, co-emceed and presented the trophies to corporations, agencies, designers and non-profit groups with style and good humor.

The Jersey Awards celebrates creative excellence in advertising and BNO, Inc., last year’s Best of Show winner, provided all of the graphics for this year’s event. They created a new look with a new identity that clearly signifies that the NJ Ad Club is the sponsor to the Jersey Awards.   This is a fresh new approach and will be used for years to come.

The judging of over 500 entries was held on March 25rd at Berkeley College in White Plains, NY. The judges included members of the Westchester Advertising Club and other professionals from the area. First, Second and Certificates of Excellence were chosen.

Nickelodeon Creative Advertising took Best of Show honors as well as Best of Television/Video for “Busted” (Cheetos). For Best of Show, the agency took home a special one-of-a- kind glass trophy. The agency took home four additional awards, which included three-first place and one-second place trophy.

Best of Social Media went to Smith Design, for #Fratelli Beretta. The agency won 4 additional awards, which included one first place, and two-second place trophies.

Best of Newspaper for PSEG Long Island and Best in Radio for The Paper Mill Playhouse were captured by Marketsmith Inc. as well as seven-first place and three-second place trophies.

Best of Out of Home went to Gruskin Group, for Lake George Council on the Arts. The agency won 16 additional awards including six-first place and six-second place trophies.

Oxford Communications, took home Best of Collateral for Empire Outlets. They also won 16 additional awards including, five-first place and two-second place trophies.

3E Public Relations was awarded Best of Public Relations for American Cancer Society, NJ. The agency also took home two-first place trophies.

Best of Magazine went to Spitball, for Chohula Hot Sauce. They won seven additional awards, which included three-first place and two-second-place trophies.

Baldwin & Obenauf (BNO), won Best in Digital Media for KPMG and was the night’s biggest winner with 22 overall awards, which included 11 first place and 9 second place trophies.

High award totals of ten were amassed by both Giovatto Advertising, with 4 first & 2 second place trophies and OUTFRONT Media, with 3 first & 4 second place trophies. Two agencies took home 8 awards, Bonavita Design, with 2 first place and 2 second place trophies, and The S3 Agency with 3 first and two second place trophies

Seven Awards were taken home by three firms including: Dark Horse Design (2 first & 4 second); First Looks Advertising, (2 first & 1 second), HarrisonRand (2 first & 1 second).

Six Awards were taken home by: By & Large (2 first & 3 second); The DSM Group (4 second); Green Lind & McNulty (2 first & 2 second); Kraus Marketing (5 first & 1 second).

Five Awards were won by: BrandFirst (1 first & 1 second); Partnership for a Drug-Free NJ (2 first & 2 second); Turchette,(3 second).

Four Awards went to: Beasley Broadcast Group (2 first & 2 second); Brand Kitchen (1 first and 1 second); CI-Group (3 second); Newark Trade Digital Graphics (2 first & 2 second); NJ Advance Media (2 first);

Rizco (1 first & 2 second); SCG Advertising & Public Relations (1 first); Skyline New Jersey (1 first & 1 second); Sound Imagination, LLC (1 first & 2 second); Sunspots Creative (4 first).

Three Awards were granted to: Commexis (2 first); Frank Veronsky (2 first); JK Design (1 first & 2 second); R&J Strategic Communications (1 first & 1 second); The FORT Group (3 first); Tutela Plastic Surgery 

(1 first & 1 second); William Paterson University (1 first & 1 second)

Two Awards were bestowed to: Action Graphics (2 second); Amboy Bank In-House (1 first; & 1 second); Creative Marketing Alliance (1 first & 1 second); Design Made (1 first & 1 second); Do Good Marketing, LLC

(1 first & a second); Eric Ortiz (1 first & 1 second); fatrabbit CREATIVE (1 second); Gary Wong Design

(2 second); Mint Advertising (1 first & 1 second); NCF Design (2 second); New Frontier (1 first); TD Bank (1 first & 1 second).

Single Awards were earned by 18 companies including: Aberson Narotzky & White Inc. (1 first); AR James Media (1 first);Comcast Spotlight (Certificate of Excellence); Coyne (1 first)Estro Communications (1 first); Firmenich Flavors (1 second);GENEWIZ (1 first); Grey Sky Films (1 second); Matheny School (Award of Excellence); Merck Creative Studios (Award of Excellence); Multimedia Solutions (1 second); Netwave Interactive Marketing, Inc. (Award of Excellence); Red Bamboo Marketing (1first); Saluk Advertising (1 second); Shirin Vazir Terhune (1 second); Tierney (1 first); Tronvig Group, Inc (1 first);Words and Pictures Creatvie Service

Eclipse Events provided our AV requirements.
