| Candidates Sought for
the New Jersey Advertising Hall of Fame
You will shortly receive
in the mail a nomination booklet containing forms, criteria
and rules for submitting nominees for the 2005 New Jersey
Advertising Hall of Fame.
Designed and produced by
Art Director John Murray of Block Advertising, the handsome,
creative piece features the Hall of Fame trophy along
with the teaser line “Know a potential Hall of
Famer?”
Nomination
guidelines
Nominees must be individuals who have made an outstanding
contribution to the creative and/or economic value of
the advertising industry and whose efforts have significantly
advanced the status of the advertising profession in
the Garden State. Moreover, a nominee must have been
actively engaged in advertising, marketing or communications
for a minimum of ten years, with a substantial portion
of that time pursuing a career in the state of New Jersey.
Candidates may be living or deceased, active or retired
and must meet at least five of the eight criteria listed
to qualify. Briefly, the criteria are: Leadership, Creativity,
Professional Integrity, Professional History, Philanthropic,
Economic Contributions, Achievement of National Significance
and Personal Activity.
Nominations must be received
no later January 15, 2005.
Hall
of Fame now at Montclair State
The New Jersey Advertising Hall of Fame recently moved
to new quarters at the School of Business at Montclair
State University. In addition to housing the Hall of
Fame Trophy, a designated area will include a wall with
a sign reading “The Advertising Hall of Fame of
New Jersey” in gold letters, plaque and photos
of all Hall of Fame members.
Current members are requested
to submit 5" x 7" professional color photographs
of themselves, which will be framed and affixed to the
Hall of Fame wall. Photos should be sent to Pat Hanley
at the New Jersey Ad Club office, 75 Kearny Avenue,
PO Box 6, Kearny, NJ 07032.
