Wake Up Call

Wake-Up Call Draws Crowd

Just exactly what “Redefining the New Full-Service Agency” means was explained by Adam Schnitzer of S3 at the third in a series of six “Wake-Up Calls” held at Borders Books, Music and Café in Livingston July 23.

Because so many of S3’s clients deal in high technology and manufacturing subjects, the Boonton agency went through the rigorous process of becoming ISO certified in order to measure up to their clients’ expectations.

“ISO certification,” Schnitzer said, “enables an agency to deliver a better product to the client.” That’s because standard ISO procedures must be met and followed throughout the production of any product — in advertising’s case, an ad (in any media), collateral material or a book.

A Quality Management System
These procedures involve the entire agency population and include preparation of a Vision Statement, a Mission Statement, an outline of the key processes and a listing of quality objectives. Everything that’s accomplished along the line must adhere to the listed criteria.

Included in the functions are operations, creative thinking, production and account services.
This means forms to be filled out, job jackets to be maintained and documents to be kept in order. This means teams of people working together. It means adhering to and improving the objectives. Every step is analyzed carefully by the team and management.

Sounds like a difficult task or at least time consuming? Schnitzer admitted that it is both, but that managing an agency using these guidelines attracts higher-quality clients, all who know that their work will be completed accurately, creatively and with excellence, and in a timely fashion.

When used with a new business pitch, the guidelines provide proof of viability, Schnitzer added. Translated,
it means, “You can count on us. We deliver.”

The fourth in the “Wake-Up Call” series is set for September 24 from 8 am to 9 am at Borders with the topic “How to be a New Business Rain Maker.” Barry Farber of Farber Training Systems, Inc., a sales, marketing and management training company, is the presenter.

Call Pat Hanley at 201.998.5133 register online. Cost for members is $25.00 in advance, $30.00 at the door; for non-members, admission is $35.00.
