client roster with the addition of ATEB, Inc.,
which develops and supports workflow improvement
technologies, customer relationship management
and point-of-sale applications for chain pharmacies,
hospitals and pharmaceutical marketers. CPRi will
develop and implement a series of public relations
support initiatives, including the strategic enhancement
and delivery of ATEB’s key messages.

Boonton, has announced the addition of three new
hires to its growing staff: Account Executive
SANDRA STOREY, Proofreader
DAVID TIEDEMAN,
and Print Manager SANDRA
KATULKA. Ms. Storey comes to the agency
from Addison Branding and Communications, NY,
where she served as Account Manager for a diverse
client roster including Coach, Estee Lauder, Sotheby’s
and Samsung Magazine. Mr. Tiedeman brings over
25 years of experience to his position at S3.
Most recently, he was freelancing in pharmaceutical
communications. Ms. Katulka will take on the agency’s
print production management duties. Previously,
she had been a studio graphic artist with Earl
Palmer Brown and has held positions with HIP and
DMB&B in New York.
NASSAU BROADCASTING PARTNERS, Princeton,
has named DICK TAYLOR
General Manager of its newest acquisition, WEMG
104.9 FM, licensed to Egg Harbor City, NJ. Taylor
most recently was General Manager of WOND, WGYM,
WUSS and KOOL 98.3 FM. He returned to South Jersey
in October 2000 from Waterloo-Cedar Falls, Iowa,
where he had been Market Manager for a four-radio
station group located there.
MASTERMINDS
ADVERTISING, Egg Harbor Township, will
participate in CreateAThon 2003, a 24-hour marathon
in which the company will provide free advertising
creative services to selected non-profit organizations
serving the greater Atlantic County region. The
brainchild of an ad agency in South Carolina,
the event is slated for September 12-13. Last
year, a National CreateAThon Network was established
and agencies from all over the country participated
simultaneously. After applications were distributed
to local non-profits, Masterminds selected as
many charities as possible that have projects
appropriate for the event.
CREATIVE
MARKETING ALLIANCE, Princeton Junction,
has added two new associates to its Marketing
Services Group, LORI NEUMAN
and DIANA PELUSO.
Ms. Neuman joins CMA as Senior Account Executive.
Most recently she worked as a Senior Account Executive
with a Fanwood-based public relations firm. Ms.
Peluso comes to the agency as Account Coordinator.
Before joining CMA, she served as a Healthcare
Intern at a New York-based public relations and
marketing agency.

The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation
has awarded NJN PUBLIC
TELEVISION $85,000 for its Emmy Award-winning
program State of the Arts. The New Jersey Council
on the Arts has announced that NJN will receive
$350,000 to support State of the Arts and $15,000
to support Images/Imagenes and the NJN Hispanic
Youth Showcase.
After a lengthy RFP bid process,
the State of New Jersey has awarded BRUSHFIRE,
INC., of Whippany, a
two-year contract for advertising and marketing
services for the New Jersey Lottery. With a budget
of $10 million per year, the agency’s responsibilities
encompass a large spectrum that includes creating
and placing TV, print, radio outdoor and transit
advertising, as well as developing strategic marketing
initiatives to increase sales and build retailer
relationships. Brushfire’s contract with
the state became effective on July 1, 2003.

New Hope Natural Media has selected
BARRY COHEN of ADLAB
MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS, Clifton, to speak
at the Natural Products Expo East. Slated for
September 4-7 at the new Washington Convention
Center, the Expo attracts over 19,000 manufacturers,
retailers, suppliers and industry affiliates throughout
the U.S. and abroad. Cohen, a partner in an ad
agency, has worked with producers of natural remedies
for the past eight years. A frequent speaker on
advertising, his workshop evolved into a book
by the same title: Ten Ways to Screw up an Ad
Campaign (1st Books Library, Sept. 2001). Cohen
is scheduled to speak Friday, September 5th at
3:00 pm.
DKB &
PARTNERS, Morristown, has announced the
promotion of JEANELL BOOMER
to Senior Account Executive. In her new position,
Boomer will be responsible for developing and
implementing public relations efforts and media
relations for several national and regional accounts,
including Verizon-NJ, Braunschweiger Jewelers,
Englert LeafGuard and Footstar Inc. She will also
oversee DKB’s Internship Program.
A graduate of Morgan State University, Baltimore,
Boomer joined the agency as Account Executive
in 2002.
