| DKB & Partners Wins Best of Show at Jersey Awards Best of Show went to DKB & Partners Inc. for its production of the “squirrel” television commercial for Leafguard Gutters at this evening’s 35th Annual Jersey Awards dinner at Mayfair Farms. The amusing TV spot also captured the Best of Television trophy for the Morristown agency, which won a total of three citations, including one first and one second-place award. A total of 203 awards was bestowed by celebrity presenter “Dandy Dan” Daniel of WCBS-FM and perennial Jersey Awards host Herb Barry of Viacom Outdoor. Winners were selected from a record 620 entries by judges from the Long Island Advertising Club and the Philadelphia Advertising Club at Gibbs College in Montclair on March 15. Best of Newspaper was won by the CIT Group for its “C-IT (See It) with CIT” ad produced by The Wolf Group. The Livingston financial services firm also won two third-place awards. Best of Magazine was captured by Pedone & Partners Advertising for its “Inspirations Campaign” ad for the Mall at Short Hills. Pedone won six other citations, including three first and three second-place awards. Best of Radio went to Gianettino & Meredith of Short Hills for its “Lawyers” commercial for Lawyers.com. G&M won seven other awards, including three first and second-place trophies. Best of Collateral was won by Sunspots Creative for its “Are You Game” folder for Premium Color Graphics. The Hoboken-based agency won two additional awards, including one first and one second-place laurel. Star Group wins a record total of 22 awards Cherry Hill-based The Star Group won 22 awards, including eight first and nine second-place citations, to set a new record for the highest number of awards earned in a Jersey Awards competition. Ritta Associates of Englewood amassed the second highest awards with 14, including ten first and three second-place awards, closely followed by S3 of Boonton with 12 citations, including two first and four second-place citations. Bandujo Donker & Brothers, DVC and the R&J Group tied for fourth highest total with eight awards, including seven first-place awards for BD&B, five firsts for DVC and one first for R&J. Six awards were garnered by SG&W Inc., followed by Linnet & Harrison, The Lunar Group and the Quantum Group with five awards. Other multiple winners were AGCD, The Cherenson Group, Integrated Communications, Brian J. Ganton Associates and Sunspots Creative with four awards. Block Advertising & Marketing, Thomas Ferguson Associates, Grafica Inc., Kean University, Sonnenberg, Haviland & Partners and St. Jacques Inc. each took three awards each. Two awards went to AJF Marketing, Brushfire, Camarés Communications, Inc., Creative Marketing Alliance, EFK Group, Furman Roth Advertising, Hackensack Medical Center, Mystic Design Co., New Jersey Business Magazine, Noesis Healthcare Interactions, North Jersey Media Group, Oxford Communications, Scheer Advertising Group, Sharon Vazir Terhune, William Paterson University and Partnership for a Drug Free New Jersey. Single citations were won by Adergy/Sunspots Creative, Brogan Tennyson Group, The Corporate Communications Group, The Edelman Group, Envision Group/The Quantum Group, Invision Media Communications, Kopel Creative/Hitman Communications, Korn Hynes Advertising, Miller/Poor Associates, Parker & Partners, Roessner & Co., Ronald Ridgeway Incorporated, Terhune Design Studio, Thacker & Frank Communications, TMG (The Marra Group) and [Work].
